What managers see
The manager view will show who posted what, sold cars still listed and for how long, and price changes not yet updated, with a CSV of the same numbers.
The manager view, its sign-in and billing are built but not open to dealerships yet. Until they open, each salesperson's Numbers tab in the extension keeps the same numbers for their own posts, with a CSV to share. This page describes the manager view as it will work.
When your dealership uses Lot Current accounts, the manager view is a web page that shows your whole store once your salespeople sign in to their extensions. Nothing on it comes from anyone's Facebook account.
Signing in
Type your work email and click Send me a sign-in link. Open the link in the same browser on the same computer. There is no password.
The numbers
- Salespeople: for each person, posted this week (the last 7 days), all time, the median seconds per post (from the click on Post to "It's posted", their own review and Publish click included), listings up and taken down.
- Sold cars still listed: each car a rescan flagged as sold whose listing is still up, with how long it has been open, longest first. The salesperson sees the same item on their To do tab.
- Price changes not yet updated: each listing whose price no longer matches the website, with the listing price next to the website price and how long it has been open.
- Download CSV: the same numbers, with their definitions, for a spreadsheet.
They are the numbers the salespeople's own Numbers tab keeps: how long each post took, which form fields could not be filled, and how long sold cars and price changes stayed on a listing. Never buyers, messages, the description text or anything from a Facebook account beyond the person's own listings. The page says when the last scan ran; with automatic rescans allowed, they run every 3 hours while a salesperson's Chrome is open.
Getting started
Four steps above the other cards, each marked Done or To do with one sentence: Start the free pilot or subscribe; Invite your salespeople; First car posted and synced; Two salespeople posting (two different salespeople posted in the past 7 days; a manager's own posts don't count). Once all four are done, the card shrinks to one line.
Invite codes
Invite a salesperson or Invite a manager makes a code that works once and for 7 days; Copy puts it on the clipboard. The card lists every open code with the day it expires, and Revoke cancels one that went to the wrong person. A salesperson enters the code in the extension under Settings, Account.
Team
Everyone in the dealership's account. Make manager and Make salesperson change a role; Remove takes two clicks and stops that person's extension from syncing (the cars they posted stay in the numbers). A dealership always keeps at least one manager, so make someone else a manager before you step down or leave.
Billing
Billing opens with the manager view; until then nobody is charged. It will show where the dealership's plan stands: no plan yet, the free pilot with the days left, subscribed with the seats paid for, or lapsed. Start the free pilot, Subscribe and Manage billing open Stripe's own pages for the card and the invoices, and Checkout shows the price before you pay. Each person with the salesperson role takes a seat; managers don't. Lot Current never adds seats or changes what you pay on its own. When a plan has lapsed, salespeople can still post by hand, but nothing syncs and the description writer is off until it is renewed. The planned prices are on the pricing page.
The daily cap
Each salesperson may record a set number of posts a day, 10 unless your dealership changes it in the extension's Settings (Safety, Posts per day, per salesperson). At the cap the Post buttons go away until tomorrow. It is a safety setting, not a guarantee of anything from Facebook; Meta does not publish its limits.
What managers never see
Nothing from a salesperson's Facebook account: no messages, buyers, passwords or cookies, because Lot Current never reads them. The listings are the salesperson's own, posted from their own account; the manager view shows the car, the price, the time, who posted it and the listing link they saved. Lot Current never publishes, edits or takes down a listing for anyone, and support never asks for access to an account (what support never does). Every step a salesperson takes is on the how it works page.
